Process

Pick a date and package – I offer Portrait Sessions 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Lifestyle Sessions are booked in the middle of the day, Natural Light Sessions are available during Golden Hour (Within 2 hours of sunrise and sunset).

Choose a Location – After 10 years of natural light photography, I know all the best locations (though I’m always up for trying something new!)  Some spots are best at a certain time of day, and other locations only work in specific seasons.  Once you’ve selected a date I will send you a location guide with my personal recommendations.  Lifestyle Sessions can be shot in my home or yours.

Style your Session – You will receive a style guide that will give you some great tips on what to wear.  If you’d like some additional help, I can recommend a personal stylist and several talented makeup artists.

Photo Day! – Please be sure to be on time.  I schedule sessions to maximize the light, and when you are late we lose that golden hour.  Session fees are due in full at this time.  I do my best to make your session fun and easy, so just relax and let me do the work!

Delivery – All Portrait Sessions are delivered within 1 week of shooting, all year long.  You will receive an email with a link to a password protected online gallery, which will be available to you for 3 months.  From this gallery you can download your images to your computer, share straight to social media, and even send photos directly to be printed.  Please feel free to share your online gallery with anyone you wish!

Reviews and Referrals – I so appreciate your kind words about your photographs!  If you leave a review on facebook, or refer me to a friend who books a session, you will receive a fun gift as a thank you.

Family Pictures

Busy Season for Family Photos runs from October-December every year, though I am happy to shoot family sessions at any time of year.

If you have small children under 5, or kiddos with a short attention span, I recommend a mini session.  Most toddlers can only last about 20-30 minutes before they’ve had enough.  For elementary aged kids and families with adult children, a 1 hour session allows us to have fun with extra poses.

Documentary Style Sessions are best shot if we can spend the first 45 minutes shooting posed photos, and the remainder of your time I become your personal paparazzi.  You’ll get lots of fun candid shots and heartfelt moments.  Great locations for this session are the Phoenix Zoo, the beach, theme parks, and destination hikes.

Maternity & Newborns

Maternity photos are best shot around your 30 week mark.  You want to be showing a nice round silhouette, but be comfortable enough to shoot for up to an hour.  I do not shoot Maternity Minis, they are available only as a Gold Session.

Newborn sessions should be scheduled between 7-10 days after your baby is born, and only in the comfort of your own home.  I shoot all Newborns as a mini session, but I plan on spending an hour or so at your home so that you can feed, burp, and soothe your precious little one as needed.  I will come armed with a basket full of props, but love to incorporate your special items as well.

Headshots

Headshots are always booked as Natural Light mini sessions.  You will receive your high resolution images in their original orientation (portrait or landscape), as well as a cropped 1:1 square version that is easier to use in marketing and on business cards. I am happy to book Headshot sessions at your place of business for convenience.

Editorial Sessions

Editorial Sessions are heavily stylized portrait sessions shot either at a stunning location or in my studio.  If you are interested but don’t want to style your own session, I schedule several group shoots throughout the year all over Arizona and Southern California.  Watch my facebook page and blog for announcements about upcoming opportunities.

Give the gift of a glamour session!  Over the years I’ve shot for dozens of subjects who had dreams and ambitions that were beautifully captured in stylized portraits.  If you are harboring fantasies of being a mermaid, you are transitioning to a new phase of life and need a keepsake of your victory over your struggles, or you want to immortalize your latest cosplay, an editorial session is for you!

What my clients are saying

  • Natalie is so talented! She takes the most beautiful, natural light photos! I love the soft light glows and light streams and dots and she has great depth of field which makes the pictures more than just an image... She makes them a masterpiece! She also knows what she's doing and tells you how to pose and where to look to capture the best photos. I used her for my engagement photos and I will use her for my wedding, maternity and baby photos. She definitely listens and understands to what you want and will go out of her way to find a location best suited for you and your vision. I have and will continue to recommend her to friends and family.

  • I recently had my senior photos taken by Natalie. Not only was she totally accepting to my random and spontaneous ideas for my shoot, she was anxious and excited to capture each and every photo I had envisioned for my "perfect" senior photos. And I love them all! Natalie is extremely talented, dedicated, and very determined. She is such a joy to work with! She effortlessly makes you feel comfortable, and confident in front of the camera. You can tell she loves what she's doing, and it makes it more fun when you know your photographer loves what they do.
